Frequently Asked Questions

Why is there no opponent?

This is a solo challenge โ€” you keep chaining words yourself, racing against the timer to build as long a chain as possible. The dictionary check is automatic.

Why does it say some words aren't in the dictionary?

The dictionary is based on a public word list derived from Korea's standard dictionary. Newer slang or words missing from that list may not be recognized.

Is the Korean 'initial sound rule' (๋‘์Œ๋ฒ•์น™) applied?

Not in this version. For example, after a word ending in '๋Ÿ‰', only words starting with '๋Ÿ‰' are accepted โ€” a word starting with '์–‘' would not be accepted, even though the initial sound rule would normally allow it.

The starting word used to feel obscure โ€” has that been improved?

Yes, starting words are now drawn only from an everyday-vocabulary learner word list, so unfamiliar starting words are much rarer. Words you type mid-game are still checked against a much larger dictionary, minimizing dead ends while keeping the start familiar.

What happens if there's no word at all to continue with?

The game ends immediately. For example, if you enter '๋“ค๋…˜' and no unused word in the dictionary starts with '๋…˜', the game is over right then, even with time remaining.
